Exposure Visits
School children are future generation. Also they are the best message bearer. So it is important to involve them in the activities related to conservation of biological diversity. For awaking them about biodiversity few exposure and awareness visits for school children were organised.

Exchange visits
Various training & exchange visits for capacity development of EDCs/BMCs have been organized. Two exposure visits were organized for selected EDC???s members/villagers of Kayle, Lotwa, Horia and Donaikala from Hazaribagh. They have been taken to Soil Conservation Research and Training Centre, Demotand and Central Rainfed Upland Rice Research Station (CRURRS), Masipidih, Hazaribagh on 31st August and 6th September, 2010.

Six members of Biodiversity Management Committees were selected from different panchayats of Hazaribag and Latehar districts. These members were taken to Bhopal to attend the two days national workshop on capacity building of BMC and experience sharing organized by Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board and UNDP BD Project on 7th ??? 8th August, 2012. During the workshop they learnt about the management of committees and how other BMCs are working in their respective areas.
During the Bhopal visit one day exposure visit to Van Vihar was organized by MPSBB.

Biodiversity Day Celebrations:
The year 2010 is declared as International Year of Biodiversity by United Nations. This is the celebration of value of life on earth and biodiversity for life. The entire world is invited in the conservation of biodiversity in the year 2010 an so on.
22nd May is declared as Biodiversity Day and on the same day we have organized programmes in both the selected district to celebrate this function. The theme was ???Development & Poverty Alleviation???. The details of celebration are given below:In the year 2011, statewide biodiversity day celebrations have been made in five major zones (Hazaribag, Palamau, Ranchi,
East Singhbhum & Dumka) of the state. This year theme is ???Forest Biodiversity???.World Forest & Water Day Celebration:
The year 2011 is declared as International Year of Forests by United Nations. Celebrations have been made in Chaibasa & Ranchi districts of the state.
